Testing Center

Skagit Valley College's Testing Center subscribes to the mission and standards outlined by the National College Testing Association (NCTA), and is dedicated to providing quality assessment and testing services to the college community.

We offer comprehensive testing for student placement in Reading, Writing, and Math classes, as well as GED testing on-campus and at local correctional institutions. Skagit Valley College provides a proctored testing environment for correspondence students, including Central's Correspondence and Distance Learning program.

GED Test

Skagit Valley College offers the GED test to provide individuals with a certificate of competency in lieu of a High School diploma. The exam measures skills required by high schools, and requested by colleges and employers, in the following four subject areas: Science, Social Studies, Mathematical Reasoning, and Language Arts (Reading/Literature or Writing/English).

Skagit Valley College is a Pearson Vue Authorized Test Center

Skagit Valley College has teamed up with Pearson VUE to offer computer-based testing for leading IT program certificates as well as the GED test.
