News and Information

Welcome to Summer Quarter 2020

All SVC locations are closed and will be moving to remote operations beginning Wednesday, March 18 through until further notice. Please view the website for important information.                 

Technology Resources Available!

Library staff will be available to distribute materials through Summer quarter on a limited basis. Staff will be available Monday-Thursday on both Mount Vernon and Whidbey Island Campuses on the following days for materials distribution.

  • July 6-July 16: 8 am - 5 pm
  • Mondays starting July 20: 8 am - 12 pm
  • Thursdays starting July 23: 1 - 5 pm

Library staff will not be on campus or available Friday-Sunday during the Summer quarter.

Summer Accounts And eLearning Classes

If you are not registered for Summer quarter, you won't be able to access Canvas or any on-campus computer resources until you are registered.  Summer Canvas accounts and classes are available now, but you may not see your classes until the first day of the quarter on July 6th. Click here for the Student Guide to Canvas

You can now view your current program of study and advisor in the MySVC toolbox.  If your current program is not correct, you can request that it be changed at this link, you will then be contacted by an advisor to start that process.  View your program of study and advisor here

SID & PIN Instructions

Your SID & PIN are required to access registration, payment & account tools. Your Student ID (SID) is a 9-digit assigned number given to you during the admissions process. Not sure? Look up your SID using the MySVC Student Toolbox.

Your default PIN is your birthday in MMDDYY format. For example, January 1st, 2007 would be: 010107. We suggest you change your PIN from the default for security reasons.

MySVC Edu Apps Login Instructions

These instructions are for logging into Canvas, MySVC email, docs, and calendar. Your MySVC Username is your first initial, last name, and the last four digits of your Student ID.

For Example: John Smith
SID # 740020987
Your username is: jsmith0987
NOTE: When logging in to Canvas or MySVC email, you need to enter your full email address as the username

There is no default MySVC password, you will have to assign yourself a password on the MySVC toolbox here:
