Changing Your Network Password

Instructions For All Browsers

11/8/2018 Note:  Passwords now must be at least 12 characters in length.

Log on to the Employee Toolbox here:

  1. Employee Password Change Page 1
  2. You will need to know your Employee System ID number (SID) and your Employee PIN to login.  If you do not know one or both of these, please contact HR.
  3. Once you have logged-in, you will be presented with the password change page:
  4. You will need to enter the following to change your password:
    1. Re-enter your PIN for security reasons.
    2. Enter the last 4 digits of your SSN to confirm your identity
    3. Enter your network/email username to confirm your account.  DO NOT ENTER @SKAGIT.EDU AS PART OF YOUR USERNAME.
    4. Enter and confirm your new password, see next section for password details.


Criteria for creating passwords:

  • Minimum Length – 12 characters
  • Passwords must include three of the following four types of characters:
    1. Lowercase
    2. Uppercase
    3. Numbers
    4. Special characters such as   ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) { } [ ]
  • Passwords cannot contain any part of your name
  • Old passwords cannot be reused for five iterations

REMEMBER: Passwords are case sensitive while the user name or login name is not.


Completing the password Change Process

Once you have entered the required information and your new password, click the "Save Password Change" button to complete the process.  You will be notified of any errors in the process and be given another change to save your password.  On a succesful password change, you will see the following screen, and please be aware the delay, and then to immediately update all of your devices that are connected to your SVC email account.
